TALLGRASS PRAIRIE PRESERVE - Pawhuska, OK

The Tallgrass Prairie Preserve is the largest protected remnant of tallgrass prairie left on earth! Since 1989, The Nature Conservancy in Oklahoma has proven successful at restoring this fully-functioning portion of the tallgrass prairie ecosystem with the use of 2,500 free-ranging bison and a "patch-burn" model approach to prescribed burning.

Offering Approximately:

(90) 2019 OCV Heavy Heifers, 714 pound average

(4) 2019 OCV Light Heifers, 551 pound average

(62) 2019 Heavy Bulls, 811 pound average

(5) 2019 Light Bulls, 622 pound average

Buyers will be able to take from five to all animals in the heavy class, gate cut at loadout. In the light class, buyer will take all animals in the lot.

Heifers are OCV (Official Calfhood Vaccinates) for Brucellosis.

Animals were wormed with Cydectin on May 20, 2021 and again on July 12, 2021.

All animals have received a Mycolplasma vaccination in 2019 and again in 2020. 

Animals have been run together since May 20, 2021. Heifers will sell as exposed.
