Pohl Bison has had a closed herd since 2008. Breed-up rates average 90%, using bulls from AJ Bison, Broken Wagon Bison and Windy Hills Bison. Animals are wormed in the spring with Safeguard and in the fall with Ivermectin Plus.
Animals are not fed grain, only hay in the winter, with mineral and salt supplements offered free-choice all year. Animals also have access to a 30% protein lick tub.

If you cannot adhere to all the terms and conditions, DO NOT BID! Once you bid, you will be legally bound by the following terms and conditions.
Bidding will be US DOLLARS PER HEAD (X times the number of animals in the lot), and the buyer may take from the designated number of head to the entire lot. Please see lot information for specific details. The payment method will be a wire transfer to Pohl Bison, LLC. Payment in full must be made within 24 hours of the conclusion of the auction, no later than the end of business day on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. Successful bidders will be notified at the conclusion of the auction via email with payment instructions and an invoice. We encourage successful buyers to print both the email and invoice and take to your financial institution to expedite the wiring process. The buyer must notify the auction company if the physical receiving address differs from your bidder registration address. This is to ensure that health paperwork is valid.
All animals are to be paid for in guaranteed funds before load out.
Mature cows must be removed by Sunday, October 8, 2023. Other classes of animals must be removed by Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Any animals left after that date will incur a $20 per head per day fee until removed. Buyer must provide bank receipt of wire transfer before loadout. The Titan West chute system will not be available for loadout until all animals are removed from the property.
Ownership and complete responsibility of the sold animals transfer to the buyer upon (1) payment by the buyer and (2) loading of animals on the buyer's trailer.
