HLB will be hand-selecting five bred heifers out of their group of bred heifers. These females are sure to be fancy and will weigh over 1,000 pounds and traditionally weigh around 1,100. These girls have been running out with the Siegmund herd, which encompasses over 350 bison cows. They are Plains females and bred to Plains/Woods cross bulls. Ultra-sounded to confirm pregnancy on Jan 10, 2024.  Bulls were pulled from the herd to ensure no late calves. Heifers will calve late April to mid-June 2024.

Heifers have received Virashield, anthrax, injectable and poured wormer.
